It was chilly but not headache-inducing cold. The boys and I swam out quickly, then back to shore. They played around in the shallows for a few minutes while I swam out a bit farther. The sea was as smooth as glass and only slightly darker grey than the sky. Afterwards, we dried off quickly and did our best to elude the stray dogs on the beach, who are now starving for company as much as tidbits. We are still not at the point where we need a thermos of hot chocolate the moment we get out of the water. On the other hand, it is odder than ever to have heavily bundled fishermen watching us from the pier and shaking their heads at our foolhardy ways. Can we hold out another two weeks? Bilmiyorum.
